EATS Rosyth has a large community garden space just off Park Road in Rosyth which is open to the public. The 0.3 acre garden has been significantly developed with a number of raised beds, planters, polytunnel, storage and potting sheds and an eco-toilet. There is a wide range of produce growing in the garden, being shared with the local community. We also have a 0.83 acre orchard on Park Road to commemorate and celebrate 100 years of Rosyth being Scotland’s only Garden City. There are over 60 native fruit trees and wild flowers and soft fruits planted there. We also grow food in planters throughout the town, (link to map) including those outside Parkgate centre, Rosyth library, on Queensferry Road and at Acrobay gymnastics club.
With enough volunteers we could plant many more public spaces with food for the community so please get in touch if you would like to be involved or have a potential growing space either at your own home or business.
Community garden daily opening hours:
- April – September 9am-6pm
- October – March 9am-4pm
We can support you in growing your own food at home whether it means you need a hand preparing a growing area, you need seeds, compost or some help getting started, or if you would just like some advice.
