DESCRIPTION:We’re co-hosting a special event in collaboration with Fife Climate Forest to celebrate a partnership project all about Japanese Cherry Trees! \nJoin us for a wonderful afternoon that opens with a tree planting ceremony with the Consulate General of Japan at Rosyth Public Park (play park side of the Middle Walk). Followed by Japanese crafts\, haiku\, music and dance\, along with free tea and cake provided by the Living Room Cafe. \nSakura Cherry Tree Party Programme – Starts 1pm\nSakura Cherry Tree planting ceremony with representative of Consulate General of Japan in Edinburgh. Haiku Moment with piper from Eats Rosyth. Haiku readings.Opening ‘Sakura Sakura’ Dance by Yoshie Campbell \nSakura Cherry Tree Party community celebration\n– Refreshments including celebratory cake\n– Sashito Japanese stitching drop-in\n– Sashito sustainable textile workshop (Dianne Spottiswood Miller) SOLD OUT\n– Origami – come and make a star for your Christmas tree\n– Furoshiki present-wrapping demonstration from Fife Climate Hub\n– Japanese traditional dancing – including Bon Odori which is like a Japanese ceilidh dance\n– Bonsai Trees\n– Japanese Dress up area\n– Nature/tree haiku writing and sharing\n– Recycled instruments/music\n– Fife Climate Forest photograph competition prize giving\n– Climate Action Fife partner activities \n[This is the latest programme\, which is subject to change].
